ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Public Service Summer Fellowships
The ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Public Service (BPS) Summer Fellowship program will offer students the chance to pursue a 10-week summer internship in the fields of government and public policy in Maine.
Overview
The Maine Government & Lee Lockwood Fellowships support specific internship positions with local and state offices.
Fellowship amounts for Summer 2025 were $6,000, with an additional $1,000 expenses supplement for students receiving financial aid.
Summer 2025 positions were with:- Maine Department of Education
- Maine Office of the Secretary of State
- Town of Brunswick
- Town of Harpswell
- Town of Topsham
Timeline
- Mid-December 2025: Applications open
- Late January 2026: Applications close
- Early March: Students notified of placement offers
